Glitch Escape

This game was inspired by my personal experiences of sleep paralysis and my interest in the metaphysical theories of dimension travel. I wondered about the possibility of our consciousness traveling to higher dimensions through abnormal experiences. The protagonist in the game goes through a similar experience as their consciousness transcends to the astral realm while their physical body is asleep (visuals in-game are highly abstracted). To escape the astral realm and wake their body up, the ambiguous protagonist must face their inner fears resembled as alternate versions of themselves from other world lines.

Roles:

Concept Owner, Co-Producer (Art), Creative Director, Writer, Social Media Manager, Storyboarder, and Artist

The original game idea was pitched to a class of around 300 students. I interviewed over 30 students and selected 16 to work on the game. I am currently still leading the game team as we are still in production.

The game is made with 3D Unity and is planned to be released on Steam.

Neuronia is a utopia inside Alex's brain. Brain cells work together in various departments to assist Alex in their daily life. Neuro, an average office worker, who is the protagonist runs into obstacles as he strives to get promoted. He starts to realize that the obstacles he runs into may be caused by Alex's mental health.

Roles:

Artist, Animator, Concept Designer

I produced all the art assets in the game and came up with the concept along with how the levels were going to be designed. I also animated the characters making them movable using Construct 3.

Travel through a seemingly dull and lifeless world, and reclaim the wonder in life. Help Nouv find herself by fighting off her inner demons and negative emotions with the help of a mysterious wand. The farther your explore the brighter the world becomes and the closer Nouv comes to finding her purpose in live, will she find it?

Roles:

Artist, Animator, Concept Designer, Storyboard Artist

I came up with the game idea and designed all art assets for the game. I also made a storyboard for the game which helped other team members understand the concept.

One day Sean left his code undebugged for longer than he should. The bugs known as the datamon came to life taking over Sunnyvale! Will Sean be able to save his city by collecting enough data to defeat the datamon?

Roles: Programmer, Artist, Concept Designer, Writer.

I came up with this idea while being stuck on a coding project. This was an independent project so the whole game was made by me using Phaser 3 . The concept, art, and programming are all my work.

Echo Hunter (AR game)

AR game created in Vuforia. The game takes place in a dystopian society where dead souls become digital echos. The player plays the role of an "Echo Hunter", a person who has to erase these "Echos" as the corporation demands them to. The player wanders into this space guided by their AI (played by a real actor) and reads the stories of how these "echos" have suffered from the evil corporation. Players decide whether to rebel against the corporation or simply to do their job to survive in this society.
